Liberty Associated Partners, LP
David J. Berkman is the Managing Partner of Liberty Associated Partners, LP, a venture capital firm primarily engaged in media, telecommunications, and internet industries. Currently, Mr. Berkman serves on the Board of Directors of Cibernet Corporation; Current Technologies, LLC; Entercom, Inc.; Internet Capital Group, Inc.; XOS Technologies, Inc.; The Franklin Institute and The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. A graduate of The Wharton School, Mr. Berkman resides in Haverford, Pennsylvania, with his wife Pamela and their three children.

Hearst Interactive Media
Kenneth A. Bronfin is one of the key forces behind the Hearst Corporation’s transformation from traditional media company to interactive media leader. Bronfin, president of Hearst Interactive Media, leads a team which initiates new businesses, makes strategic investments in Internet content and infrastructure companies, and works with Hearst’s other media divisions to adapt the company’s editorial and programming resources to new formats. He has overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the group with emphasis on business development, strategic relationships, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and technology. He sits on the boards of four of Hearst Interactive Media’s portfolio companies.
Bronfin’s education and career experience in technology made him a natural choice to lead The Hearst Corporation into the world of electronic media. He joined The Hearst Corporation in June 1996. Prior to joining Hearst, he was with the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), as a founder of the Interactive Media Group as well as general manager of NBC’s digital television group and vice president of NBC Cable and Business Development. Bronfin was also head of business development for NBC Technology and was director of NBC’s Broadcast Engineering Group, which was responsible for the research and development associated with NBC’s technical infrastructure. He joined NBC as part of its Management Associate program.
Bronfin holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA in management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds patents in the field of television technology.
George was CEO of Jingle Networks from January 2006 through June 2008. Under his leadership the company grew from a 12-person no-revenue startup to 60 employees and the clear industry leader in ad-supported directory assistance and voice-search. Based in Menlo Park, CA while most of Jingle evolved in Boston, George transitioned to a board-only role in June 2008.
Prior to Jingle Networks George was President and CEO of Wine.com, the Internet’s largest wine retailer. During his tenure there he successfully executed a sales turnaround and put the company on a 40% growth track including major partnership deals with Amazon and HSN. Before Wine.com, George was CEO of PlaceWare and subsequently negotiated PlaceWare’s acquisition by Microsoft for $200 million (4x revenues) in May 2003. PlaceWare is now Microsoft Office LiveMeeting.
Earlier, George was CEO of Flycast Communications, the Internet’s first direct-response advertising network, taking it from startup to a $500 million IPO in 1999 and then negotiating its sale for $2.3 billion in early 2000.
Prior to these Internet successes, he was CEO of North America for Information Resources Inc., the nation’s largest consumer marketing information company, which he helped grow from startup to $300 million in revenues. George also served as CEO of the AC. Nielsen Company in 1994. He holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and engineering and a master’s degree in management from Purdue University, as well as two patents: one in the field of high-intensity lighting and the other in Web site optimization.

Chip is a General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners whose investment interests and experience are in the information technology sector with a focus on enterprise software.
He currently represents the firm on the boards of 1-800-FREE411 (Jingle Networks), First Best Systems, Infobright, mValent, Placemark Investments, Reveal Imaging, and SupplyScape and was previously a director at Bowstreet, which was acquired by IBM.

Before joining the firm in May 2002, Chip was a General Partner with Greylock Partners, a leading venture capital firm he joined in 1994. While at Greylock, Chip led or participated in numerous successful investments in the enterprise information technology field including Narrative Communications (acquired by @Home), Idiom Technologies (acquired by SDL), iPhrase Technologies (acquired by IBM), IBA (acquired by ServiceSoft/Kana), Storage Networks (IPO), Totality (acquired by MCI) and the Vincam Group (IPO in 1996, acquired by ADP). Prior to Greylock, he was with Company Assistance Limited, an investment and consulting firm in Warsaw, Poland; and Bain and Company, an international management consulting firm.
Chip received a BA with honors from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar and a Ford Scholar.

Jingle Networks, Inc.
Scott is an advertising industry pioneer. In 1997, Scott was the original inventor of the precedent-setting Enliven product line for Narrative Communications Corp, a company that he co-founded. Enliven created the ‘rich media’ advertising category on the Internet. Among the many advertising industry firsts that Enliven was responsible for are the first Internet advertisements that contained audio for AT&T “Little People” campaign.
Scott was CTO of Narrative until it was acquired by Excite@Home in 1998. During his time at Excite@Home Scott was responsible for setting their advertising related technology direction, business development and strategic direction.
Prior to co-founding Narrative Communications in 1995, Scott served as chief architect of Lotus Development’s Next Generation Products Group, where he was responsible for the technical and overall development of the company’s Notes-based eSuite component applications. Before joining Lotus, he was the development team leader for WordPerfect Corp.’s Windows 95 and OS/2 software products. Previously, Scott was IBM’s lead architect for the user interface portion of the OS/2 operating system.

Josh has been an active entrepreneur and investor in the Internet industry since its commercialization. In 1992, while he was a student at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Josh co-founded Infonautics Corporation – an Internet information company. In 1996, Infonautics went public on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
Josh founded Half.com in July of 1999, and led it to become one of the largest sellers of used books, movies and music in the world. Half.com was acquired by eBay in July 2000 – and Josh remained with eBay for three years, running the Half.com business unit and growing eBay’s Media marketplace to almost half a billion dollars in annual gross merchandise sales.
In early 2004 Josh helped to found TurnTide, an anti-spam company that created the world’s first anti-spam router. TurnTide was acquired by Symantec just six months later.
In addition to being an active angel investor, Josh is currently an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Comcast Interactive Capital – a $350 million venture capital fund affiliated with Comcast Corporation.
Josh is an inventor on five U.S. Patents for his work in Internet technology. In June 2000, he was awarded Ernst and Young’s prestigious “Entrepreneur of the Year” award for the Greater Philadelphia region. Josh has also been recognized as one of the “10 Most Influential People in Philadelphia Technology” by the Philadelphia Inquirer, one of the “76 Smartest Philadelphians” by Philadelphia Magazine and as one of forty individuals under the age of forty who have made the biggest impact on the Philadelphia region by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Josh is often quoted in industry trade journals and national newspapers, has appeared on numerous national television shows, and is a frequent speaker at industry-wide conferences on entrepreneurship, Internet marketing and the future of Internet services.
In 2001 Josh and his wife created the Kopelman Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on angel philanthropy to provide “start-up” grants to social entrepreneurs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Innovation Philadelphia, a public/private partnership focused on enhancing the global innovation economy of Philadelphia through technological leadership. He also serves on the board of the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Community Partnerships. Josh has previously served on the boards of Mastery Charter High School and JEVS, a not-for-profit, nonsectarian social service agency.

Prior to joining Jingle Networks, John Roswech served as vice president of sales for Atlas Solutions (Aquantive), where he managed sales and account management teams for third party ad serving, search, rich media and landing page optimization, with revenue growing $100mm plus under his sales leadership. Before Aquantive, Roswech was senior director of sales with Matchlogic (Excite@Home), where he was part of the management team at Narrative Communications and responsible for rich media and lead generation products. In previous positions, Roswech served as territory sales manager for Brio Technology and director of sales for Forman Interactive (Register.com). John Roswech graduated from the University of Maine.

Louis oversees investing activities at CIC and is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, coordinating due diligence efforts and assisting in the negotiation and structuring of terms for new portfolio investments. Previously, Louis worked in investment banking and at a venture capital firm focused on technology and communications services. Louis graduated with honors and holds a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He also graduated from the Management & Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from the School of Engineering & Applied Science.
