Software QA Engineer

This position is located in our Bedford, MA office.


Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute test plans for new and existing functionality in Jingle Networks’ Free411 directory assistance service;
  • Work closely with developers to ensure proper test coverage and overall system reliability, performance, and quality;
  • Report defects and work with development and operations teams to reproduce problems, verify resolution, and create regression tests;
  • Develop and execute automated tests using Ruby, Perl, and other tools;
  • Identify and tackle improvement opportunities throughout the software development process.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of solid Software QA experience including test planning and testing of Linux-based products and services;
  • BS Computer Science preferred; a related degree, or equivalent experience acceptable;
  • Solid experience with both manual and scripted test development;
  • Experience with scripting languages (preferably Ruby, Python or Perl);
  • Knowledge of Linux utilities and tools;
  • Experience testing database and web applications;
  • Experience troubleshooting problems and isolating defects;
  • Strong problem solving skills and creativity.

Must be a well-organized and focused individual who can quickly adjust priorities and maintain productivity.
